Yearly Post? Trey and I are now "50"

Trey and I collectively turned 50 this year - he turned 6 while I turned 44. And this turned out to be such a special year for us because Daddy made it home just in time for his birthday story at Maya Playgarden. Then, we had another celebration at Daddy's barangay for a children's party for the daycare children. We capped the day with a birthday dinner at Barrio Inasal, Aurora Subdivision.

What made October more special was the fact that Daddy stayed for the rest of the month as we likewise celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary by traveling to Negros Occidental. We went to Silay, Sipalay, and Don Salvador Benedicto.

Oh, how Trey truly enjoyed Daddy's presence. He has the tendency to be a Daddy-pleaser, though. As he would go to the lengths of not telling the "truth" or sugarcoat or even manipulate things just so Daddy gets to hear what he thinks Daddy likes. I told Dad it's not a healthy thing to encourage but the Daddy is likewise enjoying the attention. I just keep on reminding Trey, though, that Daddy will like or appreciate whatever he has to say even if he doesn't agree with it.

I am looking forward to an exciting year ahead for Trey as he now develops this super love for reading! He pretends that he's already "reading" because most of the books that I read to him he has "memorized" out of repetition. He particularly loves Dr. Seuss books with "Green Eggs and Ham" as our favorite thing to "read" together! I hope he will like being taught to in Class 1 next year. Academics, here we come!

Below are some snapshots of photos of Trey at 6 years old.
